Terms of Service
Effective date: September 26, 2026
ACL Auto Diagnostics ("ACL Auto Diagnostics," "we," "us," or "our") is a registered trade name in the State of Georgia. These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of aclautodiagnostics.net (the "Site") and to the services and products we provide. By using the Site, requesting a quote, sending us a module, booking a service, or buying a product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.
1. Our Services
We provide automotive module programming, module cloning, TSB reflashes, remote diagnostics, mail-in module service, and local on-site key programming near Hiawassee, Georgia. Our services and supported vehicles may change at any time.
2. Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You will not submit false or someone else's information, interfere with the Site's security or operation, or scrape or overload the Site with automated tools. We may limit access for anyone who violates these Terms.
3. Quotes and Estimates
Quotes are estimates based on the information you provide and are not binding until our team confirms the job in writing (email is fine). If inspection shows the condition, part number, or job scope differs from what was described, the price may change. We will contact you before doing additional billable work.
4. Service Terms
Your right to the vehicle or module. By requesting service, you confirm that you own the vehicle or module, or have the owner's permission and the legal right to have the work done. We may ask for proof of ownership or authorization before starting work.
Accurate information. You agree to give us accurate vehicle information, including year, make, model, VIN, module part numbers, and symptoms. We are not responsible for delays, added costs, or problems caused by inaccurate or incomplete information.
Our right to decline. We may decline or stop any job for any lawful reason, such as questions about authorization, an unsupported vehicle, or a module damaged beyond service. If we decline a job before starting work, we will refund any prepayment for that work in full.
Results. Some faults come from wiring, sensors, or other components outside the part we service, so module work does not guarantee every symptom will be resolved.
5. Mail-In Module Service
- Shipping to us. You ship at your own risk. We strongly recommend tracked, insured shipping and secure packaging, with your name, contact information, and quote reference inside.
- Return shipping. Return shipping is charged at cost and added to your final invoice, and is sent to the address you provide. Once handed to the carrier, delivery is the carrier's responsibility, though we will help with any claim.
- Unclaimed items. If we cannot reach you, or the balance or return shipping remains unpaid, for 60 days after we have made at least two attempts to contact you by email and phone, we may treat the item as abandoned and dispose of it as allowed by Georgia law.
6. Remote Diagnostics
- Rate. Remote diagnostics is billed at $100 per hour with a one-hour minimum. Time after the first hour is billed in 30-minute increments.
- Your setup. You are responsible for the compatible setup our team describes before the session, including suitable equipment, a stable internet connection, and a battery maintainer where required.
- Interruptions. We are not responsible for failures or damage caused by problems on your side, such as internet dropouts, power loss, low battery voltage, or faulty equipment. Session time lost to these problems is still billable.
- Scheduling. Please give at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. No-shows and cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged the one-hour minimum ($100).
7. On-Site Service
On-site key programming is available within about 50 miles of Hiawassee, Georgia. Any trip fee will be quoted before booking. You agree to provide safe access to the vehicle, all available keys, and proof of ownership when requested.
8. Warranty
Any warranty on our services or products is described on our Warranty page. Except as stated there, and to the extent the law allows, our services and products are provided "as is," without other warranties, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law:
- We are not responsible for pre-existing faults or conditions in the vehicle, module, or wiring, whether or not they were known at the time of service.
- We are not responsible for problems with used, salvaged, or donor modules, including hidden damage, incorrect part numbers, or incompatible software.
- We are not responsible for damage or failure caused by improper installation, handling, or use of a module after it leaves our care, or by work performed by others.
- We are not responsible for third-party parts, tools, or software that we did not supply.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, such as towing, rental vehicles, lost income, or downtime.
- Our total liability for any claim related to a service or product will not exceed the amount you paid us for that specific service or product.
Some states do not allow certain limits on liability, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
10. Product Sales and Returns
When our online shop is enabled, product information is provided in good faith, and we may correct errors or cancel affected orders. Please confirm compatibility with your vehicle before buying, or contact us first.
Returns. Unused, unopened products in their original packaging may be returned within 14 days of delivery, with no restocking fee. You pay return shipping unless we made an error with your order. Programmed, installed, or special-order parts cannot be returned. Contact us before returning any item. Refunds are issued to the original payment method after we receive and inspect the item.
11. Payment
Prices are in U.S. dollars, plus applicable taxes and shipping. Remote diagnostics is prepaid when you book (the one-hour minimum), with any additional time billed after the session. Mail-in and on-site work is due on completion, before the item ships back or before our team leaves the service location. Online payments are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers. We may hold completed items until paid in full. If you dispute a charge, please contact us first.
12. Intellectual Property
All Site content, including text, graphics, logos, and photos, is owned by or licensed to ACL Auto Diagnostics. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use, but may not otherwise copy or use our content, name, or logo without written permission.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute related to these Terms, the Site, or our services will be handled in the state courts located in Towns County, Georgia, or the federal courts serving that county, and you agree to that jurisdiction. Before filing any claim, both sides agree to try in good faith to resolve the issue informally by contacting each other.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with a new effective date. Terms in effect when you confirm a job or place an order apply to that job or order.
15. General
If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver. These Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Warranty page, and any written job confirmation are the entire agreement between us.
