ACL Auto Diagnostics ("ACL Auto Diagnostics," "we," "us," or "our") is a registered trade name in the State of Georgia. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through aclautodiagnostics.net (the "Site") and through our services, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or our services, you agree to this policy and to our Terms of Service.

Information We Collect

Information you give us through our quote form

  • Name and email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • Vehicle year, make, and model
  • Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
  • The module involved and the service you need
  • A description of the problem
  • How you heard about us (optional)

Quote form submissions are delivered to our business email inbox.

Information you give us at checkout (when our online shop is enabled)

  • Name and email address
  • Billing and shipping address
  • Order details

Payments are processed by our payment processor (such as Squarespace Payments or Stripe). Your full card number is entered directly with the processor. We do not see or store full card numbers. We may receive limited payment details, such as the card type, last four digits, and payment status.

Information from our service work

When you send us a module or book a service, we keep records of the job. These can include the VIN, module part and serial numbers, vehicle details, files related to the job, notes, invoices, and communications with you.

Information collected automatically

Our Site is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace and our Site collect standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website, and the date and time of your visit. This is used for site analytics, security, and keeping the Site working.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use the essential and analytics cookies provided by Squarespace. Essential cookies make the Site work (for example, keeping items in a shopping cart). Analytics cookies help us understand, in general terms, how visitors use the Site.

Our quote form may use a spam-protection tool such as Google reCAPTCHA. When it does, the tool collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Its use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

We do not currently use advertising cookies, retargeting, or tracking pixels. If that changes, we will update this policy.

You can set your browser to block or delete cookies. Some parts of the Site, such as checkout or the quote form, may not work properly without them.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to quote requests and questions
  • Confirm that a job is a good fit and prepare an estimate
  • Perform the services you request, including mail-in, remote, and on-site work
  • Process orders, payments, and shipping
  • Provide warranty support and keep a service history for your vehicle or module
  • Communicate with you about your job, order, or account
  • Keep the Site secure and prevent spam, fraud, and misuse
  • Understand how the Site is used so we can improve it
  • Meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations

We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to our business, and we do not send marketing email unless you ask for it.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

We share information only in these situations:

  • Service providers that help us run the business, such as our website host (Squarespace), payment processors, email provider, shipping carriers, and accounting or bookkeeping tools. They receive only what they need to do their job for us.
  • Legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that we are required to by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or when needed to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of our customers or others.
  • Business transfers, if the business is sold, merged, or reorganized. In that case, customer information may transfer to the new owner, who must honor this policy.
  • With your permission, in any other situation.

How Long We Keep Information

  • Quote requests that do not become jobs: kept for up to 12 months and then deleted.
  • Service records (VINs, module details, job files, invoices): kept for 3 years, or for the length of any applicable warranty, whichever is longer, for warranty support, service history, and tax and accounting records.
  • Order records: kept as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal requirements.

We may keep information longer if the law requires it or if it is needed to resolve a dispute.

How We Protect Information

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including relying on established providers for hosting and payments, limiting access to those who need it for the job, and using password-protected accounts. No website, email system, or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send full card numbers or other sensitive financial information through our quote form or by email.

Your Choices and Rights

You can contact us at any time to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Delete your personal information

We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. To protect you, we may need to confirm your identity first. We may keep some information when we are legally required to, or when it is needed for warranty, tax, or accounting records. If so, we will tell you.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy laws. We will honor those rights where they apply.

Children's Privacy

The Site and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to Other Websites

The Site may link to other websites, such as payment or shipping-tracking pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. Please review their policies.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
